Julius R. Kejo is a retired Secretary General and CEO of the Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS), a role he served for almost four and a half years (13th Nov 2016 to 5th April 2021). Major responsibilities included providing strategic and visionary leadership with full operational responsibility in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies to effectively address emerging issues, risks and opportunities related to humanitarian work aimed at alleviating human suffering. As a CEO, Mr. Julius R. Kejo managed bilateral and cooperative partnerships with different partners including Government Institutions/departments, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), International of the Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies (IFRC), UN Agencies (UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, WFP etc), various Red Cross National Societies and other NGOs
