He is currently a senior Multimedia Producer/Developer at the Centre for Virtual Learning (CVL) College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT). He is involved in training Academic staff in using technology in teaching, such as Learning Management System (Moodle), and developing course materials. Godfrey has a vast experience in research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative methods and tools. Thus, excellent in qualitative data analysis and interpretation. He has substantial experience and expertise in Nvivo, Maxqda, and Atlas. ti. These are the most powerful and popular software for qualitative and mixed-method analysis.
He is also terrific in ODK Technologies for Mobile phone data collection. He has configured KoBoToolbox and deployed surveys, trained data collectors, and supervised them. This includes creating projects in KoBoToolbox, creating surveys, skip logics, consistencies, creating online rosters. He also conducts training in Video shooting, Social Media, Multimedia Storytelling, Online Marketing, and Public Relations, Corporate Documentary, Crisis Management, Crisis Communication, and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).
He has trained over 200 people from UDSM, Ardhi University, CBE, IFM, the Open University of Tanzania (OUT), MUHAS, St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) and students doing similar programs in Europe, Australia, India, and China. He is outstanding in integrating Reference Management software like Endnote, Zotero, and Mendeley with Nvivo for literature review writing. He has trained several people on how to use Mendeley and Nvivo for Literature Review writing purposes.
Godfrey Nkwera received Advanced Diploma in Journalism (Print Media) from St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) in Mwanza in 2002, a Postgraduate Diploma in Scientific Computing (PGDSC) from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in 2006, and a Master of Arts in Journalism and Media studies specializing in New Media and Health Journalism from Rhodes University, South Africa in 2015.
